Josh Lanier brings a strong background in law, lobbying, and strategic advocacy to C.S. Hollis & Associates. Prior to joining the firm, Josh served as an Associate Attorney in the Raleigh office of a regional law firm, where he was a member of the government relations practice group. His work focused on legislative and executive branch lobbying, representing clients across a wide range of sectors including healthcare, pharmaceuticals, local government, education, energy, and insurance. He also advised clients on campaign finance compliance and helped develop comprehensive PAC strategies.
Before practicing law, Josh was Director of Grassroots Advocacy at a Raleigh-based public affairs firm. In that role, he built and managed grassroots coalitions for state and federal issue campaigns, authored strategic communication plans, and led legislative advocacy initiatives. He has experience drafting legislation, directing lobbying efforts, advising on fundraising strategies, and conducting in-depth policy analysis for clients navigating complex regulatory environments.
Josh earned his law degree from Florida Coastal School of Law and holds a dual bachelor's degree in History and Political Science from Hampden-Sydney College. He is a member of both the North Carolina Bar Association and the North Carolina Professional Lobbyist Association.
